In addition to your insight, I also feel that a challenge is kinder to the feelings of people … A competition has only one winner and the others are just losers or also-rans. But in a challenge, you need not be the winner – you can still achieve something (like a personal milestone or better a record) – The end result is that you still come out of a marathon feeling good about completing it (Of course, it is better if you also won it!!)</description>
